The Local Governments Program

About the Program

The Local Administrations Program at Izmir Vocational School aims to train qualified personnel who can assume responsibility in local administrations and other public institutions and organizations, and who possess the necessary knowledge in their field.

The program was established in 1984 within the Department of Economic and Administrative Programs at Izmir Vocational School as the Local Administrations Program. Since 2020, the program has been taught under the Department of Management and Organization. Student selection is done through a central examination administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Approximately 70 students are admitted to the program each year.

During the four-semester education period, students are prepared for the profession and provided with up-to-date information related to the field. A 40-day internship is implemented to support and reinforce the knowledge learned in the courses. Our graduates receive a Diploma Supplement, which documents the international recognition of their education.
