About the Department

The Department of Marketing and Advertising offers a formal education program in Marketing. The curriculum is built upon core marketing courses such as consumer behavior, sales techniques, principles and management of marketing, advertising, brand management, marketing research, and business English. These fundamental courses are complemented by elective areas including marketing legislation, public relations, supply chain management, presentation techniques, global marketing, and volunteerism studies. A significant portion of the courses are conducted through applied methods, allowing students to put their theoretical knowledge into practice. To support this practical approach, students are required to complete a mandatory internship of 40 working days. Depending on their interests and career plans, students can take elective courses from various fields within the department or support their personal development by taking courses from other departments. The department provides opportunities to enhance both academic and social skills through various academic and scientific meetings, seminars with industry representatives, career days, company visits, and social activities. While graduates work in various positions across many sectors, they primarily pursue careers as sales representatives and managers, particularly in the automotive, apparel, food, and pharmaceutical industries.
